With families adding hundreds of photos and stories on Famiva, it can difficult to keep track of what you’ve missed. We’ve added a new feature called “At a Glance”, right on your family ‘front page’.

Now you can see photos and stories that you’ve missed or those that have been added since you logged in. You can also easily mark photos and stories as “seen”.

Hope this helps. Keep the photos and stories coming. That’s what Famiva is here for!

Three minor updates have been deployed:

1. You can mark a member as deceased without being required to enter a “Died On” date.
2. Member info boxes now show “(D)” by birthdays of deceased members.
3. No more birthday reminders for deceased members.
4. Deceased members don’t show as “missing email”.

Side note: We no longer have the “This member may never have an e-mail.” That feature was confusing and has been removed.

The Family Tree feature is in transition. There are many new features on the way. You can enjoy some of the features with the recent updates, like “Link members” that lets you to find existing members and drop them on the tree. Family tree Ajax has been updated for better performance (optimized partial refreshes) and better looks (Ajax-style pop-ups).

Search member on Family Tree is missing at the moment and will be re-enabled very soon.

You may have noticed the visual updates; we’ve added some color to the main theme. Peach and blue for now.
