For your information, there is a new version of the “Updates” feature in development. This change affects the day-by-day activity listed under the new “At a Glance.” The change is not backwards compatible. Therefore, older activities will be deleted and your updates will start over. Sorry about the inconvenience. This is a necessary change for handling deleted items.

This is a minor release to satisfy two recurring requests. You can now download contact information for all family members from the members page or the members menu.

Contacts are exported (or downloaded) in CSV format. You can import your download into Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. Use this feature in conjunction with the Famiva import feature to consolidate all your family contacts.

We’ve also added a “Birth Place” field on the profile.

We are pleased to announce a new feature on Famiva that helps you keep up with all activity on your site. The new and improved At a Glance now lists ‘who did what’ across your site, so you won’t miss a thing. With this new feature, if someone uploads a photo, updates their profile, adds a new story, etc., everyone will know.

As shown in the screenshot above, the new ‘At a Glance’ is a great way to keep up. Each entry has helpful links that you can click on. You can click on ‘More’ to see all activities, sort the data, etc.

Note: This feature will show activities going forward. It will show up on the front page as soon as you have new activity. Activities that occurred in the past will not show.
